Terms of use
The rules for using porch. Last updated 2026-10-11.
The service
porch is a free gateway that lets AI agents read public websites through the Model Context Protocol. It only reads publicly available pages, makes GET requests only, and never changes anything on the sites it reads. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and may change, be limited or stop at any time.
Using MCP endpoints
- Don't use porch to overload or attack websites, to get around rate limits or blocks, or to access content a site has opted out of.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful, or in ways that infringe the rights of website owners.
- Content returned by the gateway belongs to the websites it comes from. porch claims no rights in it and doesn't vouch for it; check each site's own terms before reusing its content.
Site owner accounts
- Only add sites whose DNS you control. Verification by DNS record is required before any verified feature switches on.
- You're responsible for your site's manifest and for what your site publishes through the gateway.
- Verified features are free. They can be withdrawn from a site if its DNS record lapses, or if the site or account is used in breach of these terms.
Blocking and suspension
The operator may block any website, client or account at any time, for example to stop abuse or at a site owner's request. Website owners can opt out at any time; see opting out.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from using, or being unable to use, porch, or from the content of third-party websites it returns.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service means accepting the current terms. Questions: the gateway operator. See also the privacy page.
